Call for participants
In the idyllic environment of Epirus (National Park of Northern Pindos), the northwestern corner of Greece bordering on Albania, a group of practitioners and scholars of different nationalities, specializations and age groups will meet for a week of peripatetic discussions, immersion in thinking and in nature, and mutual inspiration.
The overall objective is to advance sustainable development, international peace and security, and fundamental human rights by formulating a curriculum of key principles and practices for global citizenship education, especially of young people around the world.
We aim to host a diverse group of individuals from Greece, Europe and beyond. Mix of people from educational institutions and think tanks, activist NGOs, relevant international organizations and government departments, and the media – around 40 participants in total. All participants will be expected to contribute with presentations, questions and comments in the discussion, which will be conducted in English.
If you would like to be part of this experience, please indicate your interest by completing the attached application form and sending it to us, together with your CV, by email (firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com). First application deadline: 15 May 2015, with successful candidates to be announced by 22 May. Applications may continue to be submitted till 12 June 2015, with a final decision for the remaining participant places by 19 June 2015.
